Im always running to the next place on my schedule, but I dont really know where Im going or why its worth the time spent away from the people I care most about. Its all such a balancing actkeep your grades up, shower, find internships, make friends, eat meals, stay in shape, date, read the news, write good code, write good essays, be a shoulder to lean on, be passionate about something, be curious about everything else, plan for the future, stay creative and spontaneous, party, sleep, have intense conversations, be silly. Companies are required formulate logical accommodations for individuals whom are disabled except if the outcome creates hardship for the companies every day functions. Hardships are considered things such as tremendous costs or involve considerable difficulty. Pros and Cons The purpose of Affirmative Action is to promote equality, personally this is one that I can respect because I am African American and if it were not for this law those before me would not have come this far. Affirmative Action has helped to produce a varied and compliant civilization. Although affirmative Action has been scrutinized as repeal discrimination amongst its reviewers, for those who has benefited from it would view it as them being handed a better opportunity in life. Even though the objective of Affirmative Action is to uphold equality, the same idea can occasionally result in other individuals being singled out. By making the focal point on hiring a specific amount of person’s on the basis of their race or ethnicity, extremely competent individuals are from time to time overlooked in the employment procedure. Psychological Trauma and Behavior â€Å"In 1990, a landmark case went to trial in Redwood City, California. The defendant, George Franklin, Sr., 51 years old, stood trial for a murder that had occurred more than 20 years earlier. The victim, 8-year-old (Susan Kay Nason, was murdered on September 22, 1969). Franklin s daughter, Eileen, only 8 years old herself at the time of the murder, provided the major evidence against her father. What was unusual about the case is that Eileen s memory of witnessing the murder had been repressed for more than 20 years (The Reality).† After psychological trauma, repressed memories can occur. Many symptoms related with this illness cause behavioral changes. Changes with appetite and sleep can be prominent. Other symptoms include angry outbursts, trouble concentrating, and lack of interest. Angry outbur sts for example can majorly affect someone’s behavior through inciting irritability over even the smallest matters (Depression). Borderline Personality Disorder symptoms include repeated efforts to avoid family and friend abandonment, relationships that quickly and repeatedly move from one extreme to the other, impulsive and dangerous behaviors, and extreme unmanageable anger. BPD usually results from trauma such as physical or sexual abuse and neglect. Overall, psychological trauma can result in mental illnesses that affect behavior. Similar to mental illnesses, psychopathic tendencies can be another result of psychological trauma. There are criteria such as the inability to feel guilt, lack of empathy, antisocial behavior, and being unable to learn from experience. Psychopaths normally display charismatic and manipulative behavior in order to get what they want (Childhood). Rachael S. Fullam, Shane McKie, and Mairead C.
